An event to honor former Brick Township High School art teacher Vern Hankins will take place on Sunday. The First Inaugural VERN-STOCK will be held from 3 to 10 p.m. Sunday, March 3rd at the Bricktown Elks, 2491 Hooper Ave. The price of general admission is $10, which includes a  cash bar, entertainment, food, bands and more. The money raised will go towards a scholarship fund in Hankins' name. The Eco Warriors of Brick, a department of the Visitation Relief Center is organizing the first clean up of many for the wetlands of Brick.On Sunday, the group will be at the trail entrance 9 a.m. There will be parking at the Ocean First Bank and VFW on Adamston Road.
