How Much Snow Did Brick Get?

BRICK, NJ — A day after a nor'easter dumped as much as 21 inches of snow in New Jersey, cleanup work is ongoing including in Brick on Sunday.

Brick Township officials said plow crews were working through the night Saturday into Sunday to get the roads cleared.

The township received nearly 17 inches of snow, according to totals reported to the National Weather Service as of 2 p.m. Saturday

"Our first DPW shift worked clearing our roads from 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the second shift started at 7 p.m. and will work through the night," Brick officials said. "Since we had more than 12 inches the clean-up will exceed 48 hours so please be patient."

The roads were expected to freeze up overnight, and authorities urged people to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary, officials said.

If you waited until Sunday to shovel, remember to push the snow instead of lifting, and drink plenty of water. Remember to shovel out around any fire hydrants near your home.

And dress warmly as temperatures were set to drop into the single digits overnight and were expected to stay cold for the start of the day.
