Registration Opens For Brick Police Summer Camp

The Brick Township Police Department is accepting applications for its 2024 Youth Police Summer Camp.

BRICK, NJ — Is your child interested in a career in law enforcement? .The Brick Township Police Department is accepting applications for its 2024 Youth Police Summer Camp.

The camp is open to Brick residents ages 11 to 13 and will be held July 26 through Aug. 6 at the Ocean County Police Academy in Lakewood. It concludes with the graduation ceremony held on Aug. 6 during the Night Out Against Crime event at Windward Beach Park.

You can register your child for the free camp by filling out this form. Registration is limited and closes Friday, May 10 at 4 p.m.

The youth police camp, which first began in 1998, is designed to expose the participants to many different aspects of policing. Campers will interact with officers from different units within the police department and should be prepared for a variety of law enforcement training and techniques that include rigorous physical activities. A strong emphasis is placed on discipline, teamwork, self-respect and respecting others.

Campers are required to wear khaki shorts and sneakers and to bring their own lunch daily. T-shirts and hats will be provided as well as water bottles and backpacks. Unlimited bottled water is supplied throughout the seven-day camp, which is held from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. each day.
