Report Of Man With Handgun At Traders Cove Unsubstantiated: Brick PD

More than 10 police vehicles and multiple officers were seen responding to the call, witnesses said.

BRICK, NJ — A call reporting a man with a handgun drew a large police presence to the area of Traders Cove Marina on Thursday afternoon, but Brick Township police said the report was unsubstantiated.

Witnesses told Patch there were more than 10 police vehicles and multiple officers who responded to the call sometime before 2 p.m.

"The initial call came out as a male seen holding a handgun at Traders Cove Marina," Police Officer Victoria Finelli said. There was no weapon found when police responded, she said.
