Township to Test Phone Alert System
Residents may receive automated call Wednesday night

Residents may receive an automated call this evening, as the township is testing its phone notification system.
After receiving the call, residents are asked to register to receive future non-emergency calls by going to the township's website and clicking the "Notification System Registration" icon.
Also, those who receive a call but experience problems, such as a partial message or disconnection, are asked to send an email to R911@twp.brick.nj.us with a description of the problem.

The system is used to disseminate non-emergency information, such as events, tax notifications and more. It also can be used to quickly get the word out about emergencies, although the township also uses social media, its website, the press and other outlets to alert residents to any issues.
While the township urges all residents to sign up for the phone notification system, it will attempt to contact all residents in the event of an emergency, whether they are registered or not.
