Brick Police are still investigating a Saturday evening accident that sent two teens to a trauma center.
Police responded to the intersection of Brick Boulevard and Chambers Bridge Road about 5:15 p.m. Saturday after two pedestrians were struck while trying to cross the intersection, Sgt. Henry Drew said.
At that time, four male juveniles were crossing the intersection from the east side, however the traffic light turned green before they were able to cross.

"While the juveniles were crossing the intersection, the light turned green for southbound traffic," said Drew, in a statement.
Two of the four juveniles were struck by Nancy Rothenberg, of Brick, who was driving a 2006 Mercury Mariner and travelling southbound in the right lane.

Drew said Rothenberg attempted to stop her vehicle, but was unable to do so before striking the two teens, whose names were not released.
One 15-year-old male from Brick was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center with head trauma and internal injuries, where he remains in critical condition. A 14-year-old male from Brick was also transported to Jersey Shore, with internal and facial injuries, where he remains for observation.
The accident is being investigated by Ptl. Jay Lampiasi of the Brick Township Police Traffic Safety Unit. Anyone with information on the accident is asked to contact Lampiasi at 732-262-1140.
