Bridgewater Dad & Grandpa 'Deserves All The Recognition In The World'

BRIDGEWATER, NJ— Father's Day is the perfect time to give a big thanks to all the dads who put smiles on our faces. Bridgewater, meet Frank aka "Grampy” Graziano.

If you know a dad who sends sweet, silly or thoughtful texts your way, you’re pretty lucky. Texts from Dad have a way of putting a smile on our faces — and this Father’s Day, we’re celebrating the fathers behind the phones!

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to shine a light on awesome dads and the funny, insightful things they say. This submission comes from Danielle Graziano-Carrete who nominated Frank aka "Grampy" Graziano of Bridgewater.

What makes your dad extra special?

I’m a single mother of two very active boys that are 8 and 10 years old. I work in healthcare and end up working a lot. My father goes out of the way on a daily basis to do everything when I cannot for my sons. He gets them up in the morning, feeds them, and drives them to school, the bus, or activities. He comes with me to their games and to school meetings, and even drops stuff off to all of us if we ever forget something at home that we need. He even helps with homework! He is known all over town or anywhere we go as “Grampy.” He’s everyone’s Grampy. He tries to help anyone in any way he can. I cannot say enough about how much I and the boys love and appreciate all he does for us! I hope he has a wonderful Father’s Day. I don’t know anyone who deserves it more!

Why do you feel your dad deserves the spotlight?

This man has even put off his knee surgery until this summer because he knew that the boys and I may need him to get back and forth to all of their activities and appointments and he didn’t want to mess me up with work or them with school or their appointments. He does more than anyone grandparent I know. People at the schools and activities know him sometimes better than me! He really deserves all the recognition in the world for his help.
