Imani Bearfield Named Somerset County VoTech Student Of Month For December 2025

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School (SCVTHS) announces that Imani Bearfield, a sophomore in the Business Entrepreneurship & Management (BE&M) program, has been selected as Student of the Month for December 2025. Imani is the daughter of Alton and Latisha Jackson of Bound Brook.

The theme for December’s Student of the Month recognition is "helpfulness." Faculty and staff were asked to nominate students whose "willingness to help others creates a more supportive and positive environment for everyone."

Several teachers recommended Imani, saying she shows a willingness to assist classmates, help at various school events, and even talk to prospective students and answer their questions about SCVTHS.

When not attending classes, Imani is a member of The Empathy Equality Entrepreneurship Mission (TEEEM), which connects students to humanitarian opportunities that assist underserved communities throughout the world.

She is also a member of the Elysium Club at Bound Brook HS, where she is a member of the National Thespian Honors Society as a result of her work with the school’s Drama Club.

In her free time, Imani enjoys reading and writing short stories, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.

While she still has some time until she graduates from SCVTHS, Imani is already making plans for her future. She hopes to pursue a college degree in either accounting, business administration or economics, in combination with a minor in musical theater. She would also like to attend law school.
