Car Crashes Into Concrete Median On Route 22 In Somerset County
The crash caused the concrete barrier to be pushed into the left lane of Route 22 west, said police.

NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ — A driver was hospitalized after crossing all three lanes of Route 22 and crashing into a concrete median in North Plainfield, said police.
On Dec. 30 at 10:12 p.m., Carlos Delacruzsaltos, 50, of North Plainfield, was driving north on Watchung Avenue approaching the intersection of Route 22 East.
Delacruzsaltos drove through the intersection, not stopping at the stop sign, and drove across three lanes before hitting the concrete barrier, said North Plainfield police.

The concrete barrier was pushed into the left lane of Route 22 west.
Delacruzsaltos reportedly told police he did not recall what happened and was treated by North Plainfield Fire & Rescue. He was then taken to University Hospital in Newark.

Delacruzsaltos was issued summonses for careless driving, reckless driving, not wearing a seat belt, failure to observe a stop sign, and failure to produce a valid insurance identification card.
