Car Veers Off I-287 Down Embankment, Overturns In Somerset County

The Green Knoll Fire Department went to the crash on Sunday morning.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A car veered off Interstate 287 into an embankment and overturned in Bridgewater on Sunday, said New Jersey State Police(NJSP) Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron.

At 6:50 a.m., NJSP Troopers and Green Knoll Fire Department went to a motor vehicle crash on I-287 South express lane at milepost 18 in Bridgewater Township.

"Based on a preliminary investigation, the driver of a Hyundai sedan lost directional control, veered off the roadway into an embankment and overturned," said Lebron.

No injuries were reported. The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available.
