Chimney Rock Road Bridge Opens in Bridgewater, Traffic Lights Activated
The new Chimney Rock Road bridge over Route 22 officially opened this week, with two new traffic lights fully activated.

The new Chimney Rock Road bridge over Route 22 officially opened this week, with two new traffic lights fully activated.
On Monday, Sept. 21, both signalized intersections along Chimney Rock Road at the Route 22 Eastbound Local roadway and Route 22 Westbound Ramps A/B were placed into final operation and fully opened to traffic.

The new Chimney Rock Road bridge over the Route 22 Eastbound and Westbound Express roadways is now fully functional. It provides a new direct connection between Route 28 and Route 22 and points farther north.
Related work on the Chimney Rock Road/Route 22 project will continue through the end of the year. County, state and local officials will hold a ceremonial ribbon-cutting ceremony on Oct. 6.
