The Martinsville Community Center, Bridgewater Township and Shade Tree Board will be hosting an “Old Fashioned” Arbor Day Celebration to celebrate the Earth.
The event will be held April 27 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Martinsville Community Center on Washington Valley Road.
Sponsored by Verizon Wireless, the event will include a tree planting and dedication as well as a community tree seedling distribution.

There will be community service displays from Cub Scout Pack 46, the Bridgewater Shade Tree Board, Somerset Valley YMCA, Verizon Wireless and the Green Team.
The event will feature refreshments from Gabriel’s Fountain, as well as entertainment from the Hickory Tree Chorus and Sequoia, a folk rock fusion band.
