Millburn Deli Sets Target Opening Month For New Bridgewater Commons Location

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Millburn Deli, the highly anticipated sandwich shop, is getting closer to opening its newest location in The Village at Bridgewater Commons.

While a hard opening date has not been set yet, the restaurant is shooting to open in early May, Millburn Deli told Patch.

Millburn Deli, a regional mainstay offering classic chicken, beef, turkey, and "vegetarian-ish" sandwiches and salads, will open in a 2,233 square foot space across from Cava Grill off Commons Way.

This will be Millburn Deli's first Somerset County location. Other locations are in Millburn, Morristown, Montclair, and Westfield.

The original Millburn Deli first opened in 1946 and has received many accolades for being one of the best New Jersey delis and serving the best Sloppy Joes.

Millburn Deli workers are also known for yelling out "Gobbler!" whenever someone orders the sandwich, which is essentially a Thanksgiving meal between two pieces of rye bread. The sandwich is made up of turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, lettuce, mayor and black pepper. To see a full menu, click here.
