Pinoy Filipino Restaurant Owner Helps Plan Third Annual Filipino Restaurant Week
Local restaurant owner Cynthia Conshue is assisting the Consul General Maria De Vega in the third annual Filipino Restaurant Week.

From Pinoy Filipino Restaurant: Cynthia Conshue, owner of Pinoy Filipino Restaurant located at 18 Division Street in Somerville, New Jersey, recently joined Consul General Maria Theresa Dizon De Vega. at the Philippine Center in New York City to assist in planning the third annual Filipino Restaurant Week.
Pinoy was one of eight New York and New Jersey restaurants represented at the organizational meeting for Filipino Restaurant Week that is scheduled for May 15 to 22, 2017. The week-long festivities are intended to increase the awareness of the taste and the beauty of Filipino cuisine
Among the recommended activities during Restaurant week are a pre fix menu, special pricing, innovative menu items. and cooperative promotion to entice existing customers to return and attract new diners to the unique and interesting appetizers, entrees, and desserts.

While Filipino food may not yet have reached the mainstream, the Consul General suggested that the growth of Filipino Restaurant week is giving positive exposure to what Filipino food is all about.
