Resident Encourages Voting for BOE Candidates With Experience
He endorses Pat Breslin, Cindy Cullen and Jackie Barlow.

To the Editor:
On Nov. 6, voters in Bridgewater will choose three members of the board of education. This year, the best candidates are incumbent board members Patrick Breslin and Cindy Cullen, and long-time active citizen Jackie Barlow.
Breslin is seeking his second term on the board and currently serves as the board’s vice president and chair of the facilities committee. He has a background in business and management, as well as a degree in education, which give him the perspective to deal with the challenges facing the school district.

Cullen has served on the board for nine years and has held the positions of president and vice president of the board. Currently she chairs the board’s personnel committee. Cullen’s background in technology and project management makes her well-suited to help lead the board’s efforts in overseeing the school district.
Barlow has been an active resident and parent in our district for a number of years. She has served on the District Committee on Curriculum and Instruction since it was founded in 2007, and she chaired the subcommittee on student performance assessment as part of the district’s strategic planning effort. Jackie works as a manager in the telecommunications industry and has been a public school teacher of math and science.

Much more information about these candidates, their backrounds and accomplishments, and the issues that motivate their service to the community, may be found on their websites: http://breslin4boe.webs.com, http://cullenboe.webs.com and http://jackiebarlow4boe.com.
These candidates have raised a wide variety of issues that they seek to address, and which they already have addressed during their service to the community. However, the overriding theme for all three candidates has been to provide the students in our district with a world-class education, and focusing on the individual educational needs of all students, while at the same exercising fiscal responsibility and efficiency.
Making our district the best it can be, within the economic realities faced by our community, is the main issue of our time, and Pat, Cindy and Jackie are the best candidates to address these concerns.
I hope you will join me in voting for Pat Breslin, Cindy Cullen and Jackie Barlow on Nov. 6.
Sincerely,
Howard Teichman
