Skechers To Open New Store In Bridgewater
The footwear store is gearing up to open in Somerset County.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The shoe retailer Skechers will be opening its first Somerset County location in Bridgewater.
The store will be opening in the space formerly home to The Children's Place, which closed in January 2020. It is located next to Harmon Face Values in the Bridgewater Towne Center off Route 202.
Skechers offers footwear and apparel for men, women, and children.

Construction appears to have started on the interior, yet it is unclear when the footwear store will open.
Skechers will join Chick-Fil-A, which is gearing up to open. Demolition of the former Ruby Tuesday building has been completed to make way for the chicken fast food chain.

The Bridgewater Township Planning Board unanimously approved the application at its Jan. 7, 2025 meeting. Demolition on the Chick-Fil-A began in November.
Three spaces remain open for lease in the Bridgewater Towne Center, including a 4,500 sq. ft. space next to Olive Garden, a 2,000 sq. ft. space next to Maven Nails, and a 1,100 sq. ft. space next to European Wax Center.
