$245K Granted To Chathams For Road Repairs In 2016

County will also complete intersection fixes this year.

CHATHAM, N.J. – Thanks to county and state grants, much needed road repairs will be completed in Chatham this year.

The Morris County Board of Chosen Freeholders announced this week it will be approving funding for road repairs to the Shunpike Road/Green Village Road intersection in the township.

The New Jersey Department of Transportation also announced it would be granting the Chathams more than a quarter-million dollars for additional road improvements in 2016.

The DOT is granting Chatham Borough $116,500 for work on Weston Avenue Road, while the township will receive $138,000 for work on Woodland Road.

There’s no timetable yet on when the road repairs will be conducted or how long they’ll take.
