4 Masked Individuals Try To Break Into Morris County Home: Police
"This was the third attempt this week in various neighborhoods in the Township," Chatham police said.
CHATHAM, NJ — Police are investigating a rash of attempted break-ins that happened last week in Chatham Township.
According to police, four masked individuals attempted to break into a home on Holly Drive at around 2 a.m. on Friday.
No suspects were caught.

"This was the third attempt this week in various neighborhoods in the Township," Chatham Township police said.
All of the break-in attempts occurred after 2 a.m., and all of the attempts to enter the homes were unsuccessful, authorities said.

"Once again, we are seeing an increase in attempted home and vehicle burglaries in or area and surrounding areas. Please remember to secure your vehicles and homes," Chatham police said.
In Chatham Borough, burglars recently forced entry into a home on Walnut Street by breaking through a window on the first floor. According to police, on Dec. 19, burglars went into the home searching for vehicle keys, which were used to steal a 2021 Audi S5 parked in the driveway.

The police are reminding everyone to secure their homes and vehicles and to immediately notify the police of any suspicious individuals or circumstances.
"If you have a remote garage door opener in your vehicle, please remove it from your vehicle when not in use. If you have a home burglar alarm, please remember to arm it," police said.
