Another Burglary Attempt Under Investigation In Chatham

In Chatham Township, police have alerted the public about a home burglary attempt that occurred last night.

CHATHAM, NJ — Another home burglary attempt has been reported by the police, this time in Chatham Township.

According to police, at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday night, two suspects attempted to break into a home located on Crestwood Drive. The suspects were unable to enter the house and fled in a stolen vehicle from another jurisdiction.

The suspects are described as a black man wearing a black hoodie and a ski mask, and a light-skinned man wearing a black hoodie and a black surgical mask.

In the borough, two suspects attempted to break into an occupied Chandler Road home for the second time in less than two months, ostensibly to steal two cars from their driveway, shortly after 11 p.m. on Tuesday.

The police are reminding everyone to secure their homes and vehicles and to immediately notify the police of any suspicious individuals or circumstances.
