Board of Education Reorganizes Monday

Board will approve annual appointments, 2012-13 budget and election results.

The 2012-13 budget totals $60,943,789 with a tax levy of $54,005,100.

The 2012-13 budget will use $157.978.08 of the banked cap, leaving $517,408.92 for the district to draw on within the next two years. This year, the funds will go toward a new second grade teacher at and technology improvements throughout the district.

residents will have a tax payment increase of $25.61, or $307.34 over the year. residents will pay an increase of $10.14 each month and $121.71 over the year.

The board will also vote on:

  • The 2012-13 Board President and Vice President
  • the 2012-13 meeting schedule
  • Committee and Liaison appointments for 2012-13
  • tuition for the Chatham Inclusion Preschool (CHIP) program at $2,000 for the year
  • tax payment schedules
  • depositories for various schools, clubs and petty cash accounts
