Burglars Entered Occupied Home Monday Morning, Stole Car: Chatham PD
The suspect(s) took the vehicle keys from inside the home after entering through the garage, police said.
CHATHAM BOROUGH, NJ — A Chatham homeowner's car was stolen Monday after someone entered through an unlocked garage and interior door to find the keys, police said.
Officers did not give a description of the stolen vehicle, which was last seen leaving town eastbound on Main Street towards Route 24, per police.
The burglary happened on Washington Avenue in the early morning hours, police said. There was no confrontation between the homeowner and suspect(s), officials added.

Police are reminding residents to stay vigilant, and secure their homes and vehicles, to protect themselves and their property.
"Please activate your home and vehicle burglar alarms and be sure to lock all doors and windows," police advised.
