Who Is On The Ballot In Chatham: Election 2023

CHATHAM, NJ — The 2023 general election is upon us, and the polls open at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
Here is what Chatham voters need to know before they hit the polls.

Incumbents Mayor Ashley Felice and Deputy Mayor Mark Hamilton are seeking re-election and will be challenged in November by Democrats Jen Rowland and Marty McHugh.

Schools:

Borough Council:
There are three seats up for grabs: the mayor, who will serve a four-year term, and two council seats, which will serve three-year terms.
Council member Carolyn Dempsey has put in a nomination for mayor.
Brian Hargrove and Justin Strickland have put in a bid for the two open council seats.

Where Can I Vote?
Those looking for a drop box can use any in Morris County.
Residents can deposit their ballots approximately 45 days prior to each election. All ballot drop boxes will be closed at 8 p.m. on Election Day.

The ballot drop boxes are all located outside and are constantly monitored. They look like USPS Blue Mailboxes, but they're red, white, and blue, and they say "Morris County – Official Ballot Drop Box," officials said.
The Vote-By-Mail ballots (VBMs) will be picked up on a daily basis and brought to the Board of Elections. All security measures will be followed when collecting and transporting the VBMs, officials said.
