This Chatham Borough Spot Is One Of NJ's Greatest Italian Restaurants

This Chatham Borough restaurant made the list of New Jersey's 50 best Italian restaurants in a recent NJ.com article.

CHATHAM BOROUGH, NJ — Where do you go for good Italian food? Because of the abundance of great Italian food in the Garden State, you're bound to get a different answer each time. NJ.com's recent report on the 50 best Italian restaurants in New Jersey provided some answers.

According to the report, a Chatham Borough favorite made the top 20.

Scalini Fedeli, ranked 19th, is ideal for an Italian power lunch, according to the report. Scalini Fedeli, which opened in December 1995 by chef Michael Cetrulo, serves modern Italian cuisine with a distinctly French flair.

The restaurant is located at 63 Main St. in a 260-year-old New Jersey farmhouse. According to the restaurant's website, its interior features high vaulted ceilings, antique pine floors and a distinctly Tuscan sense of style.

The report recommends trying the spaghetti arrabbiata, which is cooked in a "lively marriage" of Spanish anchovies, mushrooms and black olives in a spicy tomato and basil sauce.
