Chatham High School One Of The Best In NJ

The school dropped a few places this year, but is still one of the best. See how it measured up in the newly released rankings here.

CHATHAM, NJ — Chatham High School is the fourth best high school in the state, according to new rankings published by New Jersey Monthly.

The high school was ranked number one last year, for a fall of three places. McNair Academy in Jersey City snagged the top spot this year. The school earns its high marks for having a low student to teacher ratio (1:12), high number of AP classes (31), and an impressive 99% graduation rate.

To arrive at the rankings, NJ Monthly looked at the state Department of Education's most recent New Jersey School Performance Reports. Only public high schools were included in the rankings. (You can read more about the methodology here.)
