CHATHAM, NJ — Chatham High School's theater department is set to present "Anastasia" this week, starting with free performance for senior citizens on Wednesday afternoon.

The Chatham High School Theatre Department will present the spring musical at performances Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. each evening, and with a special performance to start it all off this week, as seniors are invited Wednesday at 4 p.m. to enjoy a special free performance.

A theater department announcement said, "'Anastasia' is both a heartwarming and heart-wrenching dive into one of history's biggest unanswered questions: What happened to Grand Duchess Anastasia Romanov? 'Anastasia' explores one determined girl's journey to find home, love, and family as she discovers who she was and embraces who she is meant to be."

Tickets for the evening performances are $12 for students and senior citizens and $15 for adults and must be purchased in advance online at chathamsd.booktix.com.

No ticket is needed for seniors citizens coming to the Wednesday afternoon performance, a notice from the school said, and they will be seated in a front section of the auditorium. If others who are not seniors, want to attend on Wednesday at 4 p.m., tickets are $7 for students and $15 for adults.

All senior attendees who RSVP for Wednesday's show will be treated to a complimentary take-home dinner, sponsored by the Chatham Education Association and the Chatham Performing Arts Boosters, a notice on the Chatham High School website said.
