Chatham Home Burglarized Overnight With Residents Inside: Police
The suspects entered the home through an unlocked window in the back before stealing the car keys from inside the home, police said.
CHATHAM, NJ — A home on Vine Street in Chatham was burglarized and a car was stolen from the driveway overnight Friday, the Chatham Police Department said in a news release.
The suspects entered the home through an unlocked window in the back before stealing the car keys from inside the home and driving away in the car, police said.
The residents were inside the home at the time, but made no contact with the suspects, according to police.

The burglary is under investigation.
"Please remember to stay vigilant and secure your homes and vehicles," police said in the news release. "Activate your home and vehicle burglar alarms. If you observed any suspicious activity or see anything on your home surveillance cameras which may assist in our investigation, please contact the Chatham Borough Police Department at 973-635-8000."
