4th Of July Stabbing In Chatham Leaves Man In Critical Condition
Brian Kozub, 39, of Chatham has been arrested in connection with an alleged stabbing that occurred in Chatham Township.
CHATHAM, NJ — A Fourth of July Stabbing at a home in Chatham Township left a 51-year-old resident in critical condition, according to authorities.
Brian Kozub, 39, of Chatham Township, has been arrested in connection with an alleged stabbing that occurred at a residence on Buxton Road on July 4, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said on Wednesday.
According to police, at 10:50 p.m., the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office was notified of an alleged stabbing.

Kozub is accused of stabbing a 51-year-old man in the neck with a pocketknife, with whom he was celebrating the Fourth of July, according to authorities.
The victim, whose identity has not been revealed, was taken to Morristown Medical Center and was listed in critical condition.

Kozub was charged with second-degree aggravated assault, third-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, and fourth-degree possession of a weapon for an illegal purpose.
Kozub is currently incarcerated at the Morris County Correctional Facility awaiting a detention hearing.
