According to Google Arts & Culture — a non-profit Google initiative — a red envelope symbolizes luck for the coming year, with the color red, an Asian cultural symbol of prosperity.
Students from the School District of the Chathams plan to present the program, which is expected to include music, dancing and a fashion show among its lineup, Li-McGurrin added.
