Primary Election 2023: Who Is On The Ballot In Chatham

Here's everything you need to know about Tuesday's primary election:

CHATHAM, NJ — On June 6, voters around New Jersey head to the polls to vote in the 2023 primary election.

Chatham Borough will have a new mayor next year, as Thaddeus Kobylarz recently announced that he won't seek re-election.

There are three seats up for grabs in the borough: the mayor, who will serve a four-year term, and two council seats, which will serve three-year terms.

No local contests are expected in this year's primary election.

Council member Carolyn Dempsey has put in a nomination for mayor. Brian Hargrove and Justin Strickland have put in a bid for the two open council seats.

In Chatham Township, incumbents Chatham Mayor Ashley Felice and Deputy Mayor Mark Hamilton are seeking re-election. They will be challenged in November by Democrats Jen Rowland and Marty McHugh.

Chatham is also voting for the County Clerk, one Commissioner seat, and for a State Senate and two General Assembly seats.
