Recording Secretary Wanted For Chatham's Environmental Commission

The township is taking applications for the role, which includes attending the commission's meetings.

CHATHAM, NJ — Chatham Township is looking to hire a part-time recording secretary, according to the township’s website.

The recording secretary would work part-time with the Environmental Commission, attending meetings at the municipal building or on Zoom.

The job would entail recording audio and drafting the meeting’s minutes, within a week of the group’s meetings. The recording secretary would also maintain the commission’s voting records.

Microsoft Word skills and the ability to work independently to produce grammatically-accurate minutes, are also part of the job description.

The meetings are typically held the first Tuesday of each month starting at 7:15 p.m., the Environmental Commission’s website stated. The meeting duration tends to last between one and two hours.
