'Wildlife Winter Olympics' Set On President's Day For Morris Co. Kids

The Park Commission will be having their own Winter Olympics, to showcase different animal skills and do other nature-based activities.

CHATHAM, NJ — If your little critters are off of school on President's Day (Feb. 19), the Morris County Park Commission has a fun-filled day of "winter Olympics" planned — with a nature-based spin on things, of course.

Wildlife Winter Olympics is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Great Swamp Outdoor Education Center in Chatham, and animals will be the athletes, as the description reads: "Kids will compete in various events that showcase different animal skills, make crafts, read stories and go hike the trails. It's sure to be a fun filled day!"

Registration is $50 per child (ages 6 to 10 are eligible). Click here to register, or call 973-635-6629.
