Police Wanted: Cherry Hill PD Seek To Hire New Officers

Cherry Hill police are seeking applications for police officers in the township, department officials said.

CHERRY HILL, NJ - Cherry Hill police are seeking applications for police officers in the township, department officials said.

Officers are assigned to court security details, special events, parking enforcement, as well as to supplement routine patrol.

Interested applicants can obtain an application from the police records department Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., excluding holidays. You can also apply online here.

Those who cannot pick up or download the application may contact the Training Unit at (856-432-8758) or email CHPDjobs@cherryhillpolice.com and request an application be mailed to you.

“Upon submission, you will receive an email containing an Information letter confirming receipt of your application,” the police department said in a statement announcing the openings.

All completed applications must be received no later than 10 a.m. on Feb. 10. Applications received afterwards will not be accepted.

Applicants are required to be a New Jersey resident over the age of 18 and hired on or before their 35th birthday, a U.S. citizen, with a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent and have a valid, unrestricted New Jersey driver’s license. An extensive background check, interview and physical including drug testing and a psychological exam will be conducted.

Applicants are also required to possess a minimum of 60 college credits from an accredited college or, if an applicant has former law enforcement/military experience, must possess a minimum of 30 college credits from an accredited college.
