CHERRY HILL, NJ — The Cherry Hill Public School District will make the first of four presentations regarding the district’s Safe Return to School plan during Tuesday night’s Board of Education meeting.

The school board will hold a virtual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday night. The Zoom link for public participation is https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81694410918.

In May, Gov. Phil Murphy announced that all districts will return to full in-person instruction with no remote option for the 2021-22 academic year. The district received guidance from the state on May 24. The plan is a template all districts must use, submit and have approved by the local board of education and the NJDOE. The district’s other three presentations will take place at the July 24, Aug. 10 and Aug. 24 meetings.

"Any changes/adjustments in state requirements will be reflected in these presentations," the district said. "Feedback on the plan may be submitted via the Cherry Hill Safe Reopening Plan 2021-22 google form."

"The district will continue to stay up to date on any changes to the requirements for the Safe Reopening of Schools, as outlined in mandates from the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE), New Jersey/Camden County Department of Health (NJDOH), and/or the Governor's Office," the district said in its statement.

The Board of Education will also give final consideration to a policy that would make Juneteenth an official holiday on Tuesday night. To view the full agenda, visit the school district’s website.
