Severe Storms Bring Damage To Parts Of Burlington County
A suspected tornado that left a path of destruction in Mercer and Ocean counties touched on portions of Burlington County Thursday night.
BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — Portions of Burlington County saw some damage from the severe storms that hit the region Thursday night.

The storm was seen in Burlington at 7:23 p.m., but no major damage was initially reported. No power outages have been reported in Burlington County.

The National Weather Service will survey storm damage in the affected areas on Friday, and urges people to report any damage in their neighborhoods. More information on the storms will be provided Friday night, the National Weather Service said in a morning update.

Hail was reported in Willingboro and Westampton. Willingboro residents shared images of trees that had been knocked over in an online Facebook group. There were reports of baby pools and trash being tossed through the air, but no one reported any injuries or damage.

Westampton Township police are asking for information on any damage around town as they conduct their own assessment.
“If you had any serious storm damage from last night’s events, please contact Lt Ferguson at 609-267-3000 ext 154, as we are doing a damage assessment throughout the Twp today,” the police department said on Facebook.
It is the second time this month a storm has caused problems for Burlington County residents. On July 17, an EF1 tornado hit Springfield, according to the National Weather Service.
