Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

A DWI stop Saturday uncovered an alleged Cinnaminson drug dealer, who is facing extra charges because he was pulled over in a school zone.
Police said they found a large amount of marijuana in the possession of Matthew M. Watson, 27, of the 300 block of Harbour Boulevard, when they pulled the suspect over.
Officers stopped Watson on Meetinghouse Road at 1:30 a.m. Sept. 24 and administered field sobriety tests, which they said Watson failed. He was taken into custody.

Officers then spotted a large amount of marijuana in plain view inside Watson’s Toyota pickup, according to reports. Police obtained a search warrant and subsequently found more than 80 grams of marijuana.
Most of the marijuana was packaged for sale, according to police. Officers also found a 26-inch expandable baton in the truck.

Watson now faces a laundry list of charges: possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana in a school zone, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon while distributing CDS, DWI, DWI in a school zone and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle.
He was remanded to Burlington County Jail on $20,000 cash bail.
