BMW Stolen Out Of Clark, 2 Arrested: Police

Two Newark men were charged in connection with breaking into a Clark home and stealing a BMW from the driveway, police said.

CLARK, NJ — After a Clark resident reported that their BMW was stolen from their driveway on Thursday, Sept. 22, two men were arrested in connection with the theft, according to Clark Police.

Jashon King, 20, and Zaire Gaskins, 18, both from Newark were both charged with second-degree receiving stolen property and third-degree conspiracy to commit burglary, police said.

An on-scene investigation revealed that one suspect entered the front door of the home and removed the car keys from a hook inside, shortly after the resident returned home and hung them up, according to police.

This allowed the thieves to steal the BMW from the driveway, police said.

Police said King and Gaskins were identified as suspects after they were arrested by the Secaucus Police Department while in possession of the stolen car from Clark.

Both were committed to Hudson County Jail pending a detention hearing, which will take place in Union County Superior Court this week, police said.
