Clark Cardsmart Sells $10K Winning Lottery Ticket
The lottery ticket purchased in Clark was one of five $10K prizes given to NJ players.
CLARK, NJ — A lottery player scored $10,000 on Tuesday by purchasing a lucky New Jersey Lottery Mega Millions ticket in Clark.
The winner purchased the ticket at Clark Cardsmart on 170 Westfield Avenue, and they were one of five NJ lottery winners announced in the drawing on Tuesday, Jan. 4.
The other winners included two ticket-holders from Bergen County, one from Monmouth County and one from Ocean County.

The $10K prize is considered a third-tier lottery prize. Besides these five winners, 57 players also matched four of the five white balls drawn, making each of their tickets worth $500. Six of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prizes to $1,500.
NJ Lottery reported that 43,35 other NJ players took home a total of $201,822 in prizes ranging from $2 to $600.

The winning numbers for the Tuesday, Jan. 4, drawing were: 04, 06, 16, 21, and 22. The Gold Mega Ball was 01, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 03.
The jackpot rolls to $278 million for the next drawing to be held on Friday, Jan. 7, at 11:00 pm.
All New Jersey Lottery Mega Millions tickets must be purchased before 10:45 pm that night to participate in the drawing. Mega Millions tickets cost just two dollars, and by adding the Megaplier option for an extra dollar per play, players can increase their non-jackpot winnings up to five times.
Mega Millions tickets are sold in 46 participating jurisdictions. Drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays.
