Drunk Driver Faces Charges Following Serious Crash In Clark
The crash occurred in July at the intersection of Cornell Drive and Madison Hill Road. Police said two people sustained major injuries.
CLARK, NJ — Following a serious car crash that occurred in Clark in July of 2022, a 33-year-old resident was charged with 11 criminal offenses and multiple motor vehicle violations, police announced Tuesday.
The crash took place at the intersection of Cornell Drive and Madison Hill Road on July 30, according to police. An investigation found that a black Nissan Maxima traveling south on Madison Hill Road hit a gray Subaru that was turning onto Madison Hill Road.
Police said as a result of the collision, the driver of the Subaru and a passenger in the Nissan sustained serious injuries.

The driver, Michael Reed of Clark, was charged with the following criminal offenses:
- Two counts of second degree assault by auto under the influence within 1,000 Feet of school property
- Two counts of third degree assault by auto under the influence
- Two counts of fourth degree assault by auto
- Two counts of third degree endangering another person
- One count of disorderly persons unlawful use prescription legend drug
- One count of disorderly persons under the influence of CDS
- One count of disorderly persons possession of drug paraphernalia
Reed is schedule to appear in Union County Superior Court on Feb. 13 in regard to these charges, police said.
