Shooting In Union Co. Ends In Death Of 22-Year-Old Man: Police
Two unrelated shootings took place in Union County over the weekend, according to police.
UNION COUNTY, NJ — A shooting took place in Union on Sunday night, resulting in the death of 22-year-old from Irvington, according to the Union County Prosecutor's Office.
After reports of gunshots in the area of the 2000 block of Morris Avenue at around 6:39 p.m., Union Police said Emmanuelle Florestal was found suffering from gunshot wounds.
Florestal was then rushed to University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

At this point, police said there is no indication that this incident is related to a previous shooting that took place in Union the day before.
A township official told Tapinto that the Saturday shooting occurred at a private residence on Oswald Place when an individual was shot in the leg. The injury was considered "non-life threatening," the official said.

The Union County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Task Force and the Union Police Department are actively investigating both cases.
