Two Men Charged In Connection With Union Co. Bar Shooting: Police

Police charged two men, and are in the process of identifying a third, in connection with the gunfight that occurred Wednesday.

UNION COUNTY, NJ — Hillside Police charged two men in connection with Wednesday's shooting at Tanky's Bar & Grill, according to an update from police.

Kaseem M. Sutton, 44, of Springfield and Quentin D. Williams, 49, have both been charged in connection with the gunfight that occurred outside the bar early Wednesday morning. Sutton was shot in the torso and drove himself to University Hospital in Newark, according to a previous report.

As of Wednesday, Sutton was in critical but stable condition. He is currently under police guard at University Hospital while he recovers from his injury.

Hillside Police detectives are in the process of identifying the third shooter involved.

Both Sutton and Williams were charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of weapon, possession of weapons for unlawful purposes and certain persons not to have weapons or ammunition.
