Teen Arrested For Stabbing 16-Year-Old Boy In Face In Union County: Police
After a months-long search, one of two suspects has been arrested.
PLAINFIELD, NJ — A 17-year-old boy was arrested after police say he stabbed a 16-year-old boy in the face in Plainfield in June.
The teen was arrested on Sept. 23 and charged with second-degree aggravated assault, third-degree aggravated assault with a weapon, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
On June 20, Union County Police went to Cedarbrook Park for a report of a person who was stabbed, and found a 16-year-old who was wounded in the face by a knife.

Officials determined the stabbing took place at the Plainfield Village Apartments and identified two suspects who were alleged gang members tied to multiple other cases.
The 17-year-old was taken into custody during a surrender facilitated by officials. A second suspect is still at large.

Charges are still pending for the second suspect.
