Coach: Lady Cougars Volleyball Report

The Cranford Lady Cougars volleyball team finished a successful week by posting another two victories. They defeated Elizabeth, 25-16 and 25-9, on Wednesday, and Arthur L. Johnson, 25-7 and 25-18, on Thursday.

Friday's match against Science Park was canceled and will be rescheduled at a later date.

Meghan Bartsch: 20 serv. aces, 10 kills, 1 block, 3 assists, 19 serv. points
Alex Bizub: 8 kills, 3 serv. aces, 7 serv. points, 3 digs
Kristen Rupp: 7 kills, 2 serv. aces, 10 serv. points, 2 digs
Katie Knorr: 7 kills, 1 bblock
Kaitlyn Irwin: 3 serv. aces, 15 serv. points, 9 digs
Sarah Barry: 12 assists, 10 aces, 12 serv. points

Emma Hansen: 4 kills, 3 serv. points

On Sat at the HTC Girls Volleyball Tournament in Rahway, Cougars again made it to the quarterfinals but could not break through Science Park.

Wins over Summit, 25-16,25-16, and Rahway, 25-16,25-15, started the day off right. Yet another face-off with Pascack Hills lead to a second place pool finish.
       
Kaitlyn Irwin was voted Cranford All-Tournament player. She clearly deserved the recognition when she finished the day with two kills, seven serv. aces, 11 serv. points and 19 digs.
 
The Lady Cougars will participate in Friday's Union County Tournament.
