Cranford Kid To Appear In 'Little Mermaid' Local Production

Many young local actors and actresses will appear in a production of "The Little Mermaid" in Morristown this February.

CRANFORD, NJ — A local production of "The Little Mermaid" will feature many young actors and actresses from towns across Union County — including Cranford, Summit and Garwood.

The show was originally set to run in January but was postponed due to surging COVID-19 omicron cases. It will now premier at Saint Elizabeth University, 2 Convent Road, in Morristown on Feb. 9 and 10 at 7 p.m.

A young Cranford actress, Lila Kramer, will appear as an ensemble member in the musical production.

Presented by Front & Center Performing Arts, "The Little Mermaid" is directed and choreographed by Julie Celeste-Lira. The show features a cast of 37 from a variety of NJ towns.

“Somewhere beyond your imagination, adventure awaits! Join us on this journey during a time when we could ALL use a little extra escape," Celeste-Lira said.

Seating at the show is assigned, and tickets can be purchased at frontncenter.booktix.com/.

Any remaining seats will be sold at the door before each show.

Important COVID-19 Protocols:

  • Masks are required to be worn in the building.
  • Anyone who enters the theater must show proof of vaccination, or a negative COVID-19 PCR test performed by a medical provider within 1-3 days of the performance, or a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test taken within 6 hours of the performance start time. Test results must clearly show the date and time of the test.
“The Little Mermaid” is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
