The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for Union County, as moderate to heavy rain moves east across the area.
Rain is expected to fall at a rate of 1 inch per hour, potentially causing minor flooding on highways, streets, and underpasses, as well as drainage areas and other low-lying spots.
Showers are likely before noon, followed by showers and thunderstorms afterward. The service says there's a 100 percent chance of rain tonight, with new rainfall of approximately 1 to 2 inches.
