Large Warehouse Fire Prompts Road Closures, Massive Response In Union County

Firefighters were battling a large fire in Roselle Park on New Year's Day, police said in an alert.

ROSELLE PARK, NJ — A large fire in a warehouse in Roselle Park has prompted road closures and warnings to residents to keep their windows and doors closed due to air quality concerns.

Roselle Park police were urging people to avoid the area of West Westfield Avenue and Valley Road because of the fire.

"Residents are asked to please avoid the area and residents living in the west end of town are asked to keep windows and doors closed as air quality may be diminished due to heavy smoke," police said.
