• Souperhero Stroll Warms Up Downtown Cranford With Affordable Winter Tastes (tapinto.net) — Downtown Cranford is gearing up for the Souperhero Stroll on January 17–18, offering residents affordable soup tastings from 20+ local spots plus fun superhero-themed decorations. Families can choose timed slots, enter a selfie contest, and support local food banks through canned soup donations collected with the Cranford Clergy Council and Interfaith Committee.
   

• Loaded Gun, Drugs Found With Driver In Union County: Police (patch.com) — Cranford police say they found packaged drugs and a loaded handgun after stopping a car on North Avenue near the Garden State Parkway Wednesday night. Two North Jersey residents were arrested, and officers confiscated suspected heroin, crack cocaine, prescription pills, and a Glock 9mm with hollow-point ammunition.
