Loaded Gun, Drugs Found With Driver In Union County: Police
Crack-cocaine, heroin, and prescription pills were all suspected to be in the vehicle.
CRANFORD, NJ — A man and a woman were arrested with drugs and a loaded gun in the car Wednesday night, Cranford Police said.
Samad Wright, 45 of Newark, was driving the car and charged with second-degree possession of a firearm, second-degree possession of a weapon during controlled dangerous substance offenses, fourth-degree possession of prohibited weapons, and second-degree possession of heroin/cocaine with intent to distribute.
Pamela Armstrong, 64 of Orange, was charged with second-degree possession of heroin/cocaine with intent to distribute and third-degree hindering apprehension.

At around 10 p.m. on Wednesday, police stopped a 2021 Nissan Altima along North Avenue near the Garden State Parkway for multiple vehicle violations.
An officer found packaged drugs in the car and a Glock 9mm handgun loaded with six rounds of ammunition.

The gun with hollow-point bullets, suspected heroin, suspected crack-cocaine, and prescription pills were all confiscated, authorities said.
Both Armstrong and Wright were taken into custody without conflict and taken to the Union County Jail.
