Union County School Evacuation: University Gives Safety Update

UPDATE: Authorities have declared the building safe, and normal operations will continue on Tuesday morning, the University said.

UNION TOWNSHIP — The Kean University Police Department is evacuating the Nancy Thompson Learning Commons building on the Union campus due to a public safety concern, the school said.

The evacuation is being done out of an abundance of caution as authorities respond to the situation.

Police ask everyone to avoid the area.
