Two People Shot In Union County: Police

One person who was shot declined to talk to authorities.

ELIZABETH, NJ — Two people were found shot Sunday night in Elizabeth, City spokesperson Ruby Contreras said.

At around 9:30 p.m., police responded to the area near 65 Elizabeth Ave. for a report of a shooting.

Officers found both victims when they arrived. One person was shot in the shoulder, and the other was shot in the left arm.

Both were taken to a local hospital with non-critical injuries.

One of the people shot declined to deliver a statement to police, while the other gave a brief comment.
