Where Are The Best Hills For Sledding In Cranford?
For those looking for a fun activity in the snowy weather, there are many hills for sledding in the Cranford area.
CRANFORD, NJ — With all the snow on the ground after Saturday's storm, it's the perfect time to grab a sled and head out to one of the many hills in Cranford.
Depending on whether residents are looking for a mild, beginner's hill or a steeper, adventurous hill there are a few options in and around Cranford.

One user said the hill by the track at Memorial Field is a great location for sledding.
Echo Lake Park in Mountain was also mentioned, which is a popular sledding destination in Union County.

Lenape Park in Cranford and Briant Park in Summit have been ranked as some of the best hills in Union County, according to NJMOM. Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth, Unami Park in Garwood and Scotch Hills Golf Course in Scotch Plains also made the list.
Outside of Cranford, the hill by the Summit Community Center at 100 Morris Avenue is a good starting hill for beginners. In addition, the hill at Jefferson Elementary School is perfect for a mild, but fun sledding experience.
For those seeking greater thrills, there are several steep hills in the South Mountain Reservation closer to Maplewood.
People should take caution when driving on the roads Sunday, as the Department of Public Works continues to plow and salt the roads.

Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. Light northeast wind.
